I wish we could do more Orienteering!

Today my class and I had our last session of Orienteering.  First we changed into our P.E gear because we didn't want to get sweat on our school uniform. After we arrived, our coaches told us what to do. We had a map in front of us and we each had a piece of paper. On our first round, I came in first place but in the second round I didn't, because I got a little bit lost. We all completed two rounds before lunchtime. I had a really fun and awesome day because I think I am pretty good at reading maps.

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a verbal recount to describe our last session of Orienteering.

Katie Glynn has retired at such a young age!

Do you need to know how to recycle?

Learning Intention: We are learning to develop and build our knowledge of the topic that we are reading about.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I research and find 10 facts about recycling.

Katie Glynn had a really hard life!

Learning Intention: We are learning to develop understanding of our person of interest.
Success criteria:I know I can do this when I use Blabberize to record a verbal recount about Katie Glynn.

How much do you know about heat energy?

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the steps of a statistical investigation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I make a survey using a Google Form.

Orienteering is very interesting!

Today my class and I had our third session of Orienteering. We had to use a map to look for the controls. Our coaches' names were Leon and Irene and they helped us to read the map correctly. Irene gave us the first map and when we had completed our first map, we were given the second map. Leon helped us if we were lost. Orienteering is fun and challenging, I can't wait until our next session.

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I record a brief recount of our third Orienteering lesson.

Today my class and I went to do Orienteering. It is a type of sport that helps you learn to use the map. Our coaches' names were Leon and Irene. They were the ones that helped us, Irene gave us the maps and Leon told us where to go if we got lost. I had a lot of fun.
