Duffy theatre was really funny!

On Monday 24th of July, we had a Duffy theatre at the St.Patrick's hall!

There were three actors that acted out many characters such as Global girl, Duffy and Mother Earth. My favourite character was Global Girl because she was funny and her hair was nice.

First Duffy explained what book he was reading, then out of nowhere a huge storm came from the back stage and started spraying people with water. That was when Global Girl appeared and her mission was to keep earth safe. Duffy and her became friends and they worked together to save planet earth from being destroyed.

My favourite part was when Duffy gave Global Girl a fright because it was really funny.

Going to the park is fun!

During the holidays my family and I went to the park but my parents had to stay at home because they needed to do some work around the house.

First we put my  their car seats, then everyone else came in the van as well. My big sister reminded  us to put our seat belts on because my brother always forgets. Then my big sister drove us to Pak'n'save so we could buy some food we bought  four  packets of Crunch cheese, four packets of Cheese balls and some lollies. We also bought some drinks, we bought some tropical juice and lemonade.

When we were finished with our shopping my sister took us to the park. When we arrived we all took off our seat belts and we couldn’t wait to get out of the van. First my little brother and I went on the slide because it was our favourite thing on the park, and we went on the slide 5 times. Then my little brother and I  went to my big sister, because my little brother didn’t want to play  anymore as he was feeling exhausted so I left him with my sister. My sister Rhonda and I had a swinging competition and my sister won and I lost but I didn’t mind because i had a lot of fun.

Soon my sister called us to have something to eat, I ate cruncheese because it was my favourite. My sister’s ate the rest of the chips, then I had a drink because I was thirsty, I had the lemonade.  When we had all finished eating, we went to play some more and that’s when my sister asked us if we wanted to have a race and I  said, “ sure”, I won the race.

Before long, it was time to go so we packed everything up so we could go home. I had a lot of fun playing with my family.

My favourite part was when we were eating our snacks because I was feeling really hungry by that time and I had used up a lot of my energy by then.

Duffy hero assembly is a lot of fun!



Today our entire school went to our school hall for a Duffy hero assembly. First we all sat down on the floor, then one of our teachers introduced our special guest. Her name was Vaimoana but most people call her Moana. She told us how much she loved Harry Potter and told us that books can take us to different places. I had a lot of fun learning about her.My favourite part was when she told us about her life reading Harry Potter because it was very interesting.
Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a verbal recount about our Duffy Hero Assembly.

Here are the number of heat energy products owned by students in Room 7!


Analysis: 
  • Everyone in Room 7 has lots of electronic devices ranging from 5 to 19.
  • Most of the students in Room 7 have the same number of stove devices, ranging from 4 to 8.
  • Students in Room 7 all have cars, ranging from 1 to 5.

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the steps of  a Statistical Investigation.
Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I categories the information that I want to collect, survey, collect data, graph data, and analyse the data that I have collected.

Wow, only 40% of the students recycle paper!


Analysis:

  • 43.8% of the students sometimes unplug their appliances when they're not using it.
  • 40% of the students recycles paper.
  • 36.8% of the students does not walk to school
  • 53.8% of the students sometimes switches off their lights when they're not using it.

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the steps of a Statistical Investigation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I categorise the information I want to collect, survey questionnaire, collect data, graph data and analyse the data that I have collected.

I wish we could do more Orienteering!


Today my class and I had our last session of Orienteering.  First we changed into our P.E gear because we didn't want to get sweat on our school uniform. After we arrived, our coaches told us what to do. We had a map in front of us and we each had a piece of paper. On our first round, I came in first place but in the second round I didn't, because I got a little bit lost. We all completed two rounds before lunchtime. I had a really fun and awesome day because I think I am pretty good at reading maps.

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a verbal recount to describe our last session of Orienteering.
