It's time to prepare for advent!
Today I analyzed a message from Pope Francis, and below is my interpretation of his message.
Pope Francis said
- “Be watchful! Be alert!,” because “ you don’t know when the time will come.”
- “To prepare ourselves for the return of Christ.”
Pope Francis spoke to pilgrims present in St. Peter's Square for his Angelus address, which took place on the first Sunday of Advent. Christ will come again on Christmas time, when we remember how he came to us “in the humility of the human condition.” Still, Christ also comes to each of us “every time we are minded to accept him,” Francis said, and “he will come again at the end of time to judge the living and the dead.”

A pilgrim is a person who journeys to a holy place.
There are many people who go on a pilgrimage, both men and women went on a

Have you ever designed your own track?
Today we conducted a mathematical investigation that involved
properties of physics.
properties of physics.
Purpose: To Design a prototype to investigate the distance one glass marble could roll on a hard surface.
(Create a device which is going to propel on class marble to see how
far it will go.) [measure distance]
far it will go.) [measure distance]
Materials:
- 1.5 metre of masking tape.
- 3 metre wooden ruler.
- 3-4 glass marbles.
- Chalk
Predictions:
1st marble: 5.30
2nd marble: 1.50
3rd marble: 5.11
Method
Two rulers were taped together diagonally using the masking tape.
Once secure, the prototype was taken outside to the court area to
provide a concrete surface for the marble to roll on.

Our prototype ( track) was elevated 440mm, by placing the track
into one of the fence gaps. We rolled the marbles down the track to
investigate the distance it would travel.

investigate the distance it would travel.
Results:
1st Marble: 3.20m
2nd Marble: 2.22m
3rd Marble 2.48m
Conclusion:
That the higher the elevation of the ruler (our track) the further
the distance of the marble will travel. The power that was created by
the elevation is the physics in our investigation.

Science is the best!
In tecnicraft we went to science!
In science we were learning to make a hot air balloon.
We used a:
- Meths Burner
- Tripod
- Matches
- Gauze mat
- Balloons
- Flask
- Ice
First,
We made the tripod stand.
Then we put the Gauze mat on the top. We put the Meths
burner under the mat and tripod and lit it up.
burner under the mat and tripod and lit it up.
After that I was told to give out the ice cubes, the ice cubes
couldn’t fit in the flask so we rubbed it between our hands and
it started to melt ( it was really cold). When it was able to
fit we put a balloon, it on top of the tripod.
For a few seconds it didn’t grow, but as a few minutes
came it grew and grew. The air made the balloon grow.
