Prayers-Karakia of the faithful.

                      Prayer for the leaders of the world


For the leaders of of the world, that they would provide  shelter to  the poor.

For the leaders of the world,that they should provide food and clean  water to the poor.

For those who are leaders of the world, that they should teach people to learn about Gods'  goodness.

For the leaders of the world, that they should have  joy and harmony to all people by making peace to other leaders.

For the leaders of the world,that they will make good decisions so that all people could live a better life.

Measurement Length

                                    Measurement -Length

L.I.-W.A.L.T.- measure length using centimetre.

Success Criteria-I know I can do this when I measure the length of a carrot using centimetre.

Today me and my partner measured  the length of the carrot using cm.  (5 cm, 10 cm, 6 cm and 8 cm) 


                               This is what I found out


1.Using 5 cm. I found out that the carrot is eleven 5 cm. 


2.Using 10 cm I found out that the carrot was six 10 cm's long.

3.Using 6 cm I found out that the carrot was nine 6 cm's long.


4.Lastly, using 8 cm., it was seven 8 cm. long .

Lets Jump the Plank

L.I.-W.A.L.T.-measure how far we could jump the "plank"  using centimetres.
Success Criteria- I can do this when I measured the distance of how far I could jump the plank.

                                                 Lets jump the plank!

Our group jumped the "plank" and  measured how far each one of us had jumped.We used the chair as our plank and we started the measurement from the foot of the chair, to the back of our heel, where we landed from our jump.

This are the results.
Uinisieti-120 cm
Heneliena-105 cm
Te Raiana-100 cm
Christopher-100 cm
Moonia-91 cm


Uinisieti jumped the farthest, I was the second,Te Raiana and Christopher was the third, and Moonia was the last.

Balloon Magic

                                      Balloon Magic                          


L.I.-W.A.L.T.-write a procedure using action words at the beginning of the sentence.
Success Criteria-I know I can do this when I write a procedure in order about how to make a balloon magic using action words at the beginning of the sentence.


What you will need:
T-shirt
Pants
Balloons
head with hair

Instructions:

1.Blow the balloon with air until it is big.

2.Rub the balloon on your hair or material for about 1 or 2 mins.

3.Take the balloon which has been rubbed against a materials or your hair and given charge  of static electricity.

4. Put it on your head and you will notice that your hair  will go up and  stick to the balloon.

Making a magnetic paper

L.I.-W.A.L.T.-write instructions in order.
Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write instructions in order using action words at the beginning of the sentence how to make a magnetic paper.

                         Instructions

1.Place a white piece of paper on the floor.

2.Cut another paper into small pieces.


3.Grab a comb and rub it onto your hair till it gets warm.


4.Put the comb on the top of the paper then left it up.


5.If the small pieces of paper stuck into the comb your experiment is successful.

Let's play rippa rugby!

                             Rippa Rugby Instructions
L.I- W.A.L.T.-write instructions how to play rippa rugby.
Success Criteria-I know I can do this when I write instructions how to play rippa rugby using action words at the beginning of the sentence.


Instructions:

Steps:


1. Warm ups- running,side stepping, and passing.


2. Grab a medium size belt and tie it around your waist, get two tags and stick them on your belt.


3. Line up for groupings by saying 1,2,1,2....


4. Get a ball and when the whistle blows, the game starts.


5.Rip the tag off  the belt of one player from another team ,then pass the ball to your team mate that is behind you.


6. Remind the players that fighting, swearing and tackling are not allowed in the game.


7. Ripper Rugby includes a game of octopus where in you have to try to rip the tag off the belt and who ever  rips the tag is "in".


8. Take off your belt and tag then put it back neatly when the game is over.


9.  Say thank you to to your coach and then go back to class.
